Copper Kettle

My recording of the song “Copper Kettle” is out today. Enjoy 🌿

“Copper Kettle” sings like a traditional ballad from the days of the whiskey rebellion but it was written in the 1940s by a man named Frank Beddoe for a stage production titled “Go Lightly, Stranger.” The Chicago folksinger Bob Gibson recorded it in the 50s & Joan Baez recorded it not long after that. Then it became something of a standard in folkie circles.

This recording features backing vocal by Libby Rodenbough, steel guitar by Nathan Golub, Alan Casey Toll on bass, & Nathan Bowles on drums.

A very Special Thanks to Kevin McNamee-Tweed for the use of his artwork for this release.
